Hawaii SB205 amends the Commission on Water Resource Management to include the chairperson of the Hawaiian homes commission as an ex officio member.

Hawaii SB205 amends Section 174C-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to expand the Commission on Water Resource Management by adding the chairperson of the Hawaiian homes commission, or their designee, as an ex officio voting member. The commission, which already includes the director of health or their designee, now also includes the chairperson of the Hawaiian homes commission to ensure decisions incorporate and protect adequate water reserves for Hawaiian home lands.
