The bill allocates funds for a one-time hazard pay bonus for state officers and employees in bargaining units 5, 6, and 7, as well as those excluded from collective bargaining but in the same compensation plans. This bonus recognizes the extraordinary services and risks undertaken by these employees during the pandemic. The funds will be allotted by the director of finance to the appropriate state departments for expenditure. The Act takes effect on July 1, 2025.
