This bill amends Hawaii's vehicle operation laws to lower the blood alcohol concentration limit for operating a vehicle under the influence from.08 to.05 grams of alcohol per one hundred milliliters or cubic centimeters of blood. It also lowers the limit for alcohol in breath from.08 to.05 grams of alcohol per two hundred ten liters of breath. The bill modifies the legal standards for determining if a person was under the influence of alcohol or drugs while operating a vehicle.
