Hawaii SB1630 amends Chapter 531B of the Hawaii Revised Statutes by adding a new section on the disposition of remains. It mandates that funeral establishments, mortuaries, cemeteries, crematories, and hydrolysis facilities must dispose of the remains of a dead human body within sixty days from the date a permit is issued or an affidavit for amendment is submitted. The Department of Health is required to adopt rules under chapter 91 to implement this provision. The Act will take effect upon approval.
