Establishes a five-year family resilience pilot program to prevent child abuse and neglect.
The bill establishes a family resilience pilot program within the office of wellness and resilience to prevent children and families from entering the child welfare system. The program will provide trauma-informed peer support navigators and financial assistance for basic needs. It also includes a data and referral system and an implementation and evaluation plan. The program is funded with $987,150 for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. The act will take effect on July 1, 2025, and be repealed on June 30, 2030.
