Hawaii SB1105 authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds totaling $28,840,000 for fiscal year 2025-2026 to finance capital improvement projects for construction defect remediation at the Hawaii State Hospital. The appropriation for this project will not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium, but any unencumbered funds by June 30, 2028, will lapse. Additionally, the bill appropriates $70,000 for fiscal year 2025-2026 to establish one full-time equivalent building manager position, subject to chapter 76, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The Act takes effect on July 1, 2025.
