The bill establishes the mental health emerging therapies special fund to support clinical research and the development of emerging therapies for mental health and behavioral health disorders. Funds may be used for public-private partnerships, clinical trials, compassionate use programs, education and training, public education, patient access pilot programs, and community support services. The Department of Health will manage the fund and report to the legislature annually. The fund will be financed by appropriations, gifts, donations, and grants. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2025.
