Hawaii HB898 amends the definition of "special interest vehicle" to include former military vehicles that are at least 25 years old. Owners of such vehicles can apply for registration with the county director of finance. These vehicles can be used for transporting the owner's property or passengers in furtherance of the owner's primary business, but not for hire or commercial transport. The bill takes effect on January 1, 2026.
