Extends workers' compensation coverage to high school graduates participating in work-based learning programs.

This bill amends Hawaii Revised Statutes to extend workers' compensation coverage to high school graduates participating in work-based learning programs. The coverage applies to students or new graduates involved in programs sponsored by the Department of Education or the University of Hawaii, whether paid or unpaid, during the summer following their graduation. The coverage is exclusive and ends on July 31 of the year following graduation.
