Hawaii HB777 amends land use permit requirements for large tracts and important agricultural lands.

Hawaii HB777 amends Section 205-6 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to require special permits for land areas greater than fifteen acres or designated as important agricultural lands to be approved by the land use commission. The commission can impose additional restrictions, including adherence to applicant representations. The bill also allows the commission to designate another agency to monitor compliance with these restrictions. This Act takes effect upon approval.
