This bill proposes an amendment to Article III, Section 4, of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii to establish term limits for legislators. It would limit the total service of a member of the legislature to twelve years, beginning with terms starting after the 2026 general election. The amendment would allow service in either the House of Representatives or the Senate, or both, but the total combined service cannot exceed twelve years. The proposed change will be presented to voters in a ballot question.
