This bill establishes an ombudsman's office within the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to assist condominium owners and associations with dispute resolution. The ombudsman will handle written requests for dispute intervention and resolution, investigate disputes, and maintain publicly available data on inquiries and complaints. The office will be funded by a small increase in the registration fees paid by condominium associations. The ombudsman will have nonbinding decisions that may be admissible in court if not followed.
