The bill establishes a pharmacist workforce assessment fee to fund activities of the Daniel K. Inouye college of pharmacy. The fee will be assessed on each license and permit issued by the board, except temporary licenses. The funds will be deposited into the Daniel K. Inouye college of pharmacy special fund to support pharmacist workforce assessment and planning efforts, including recruitment and retention of pharmacists, loan repayment for those working in medically underserved areas, and scholarships for qualifying pharmacy students.
