Hawaii HB1871 establishes a maternal health monitoring pilot program within the Department of Health. The program aims to offer eligible participants, who are pregnant and recipients of medical assistance, improved maternal health care through remote patient monitoring for maternal hypertension and maternal diabetes. The pilot program will be operational no later than June 30, 2027, and will conclude two years after it becomes operational. The Department of Health will select one or more participating managed care organizations and a technology vendor to administer the program.
