Hawaii HB1366 requires the office of planning and sustainable development to create a Hawaii climate adaptation and resilience implementation plan. This plan will assess the financial risk of climate change to the state, aggregate climate risk and hazard data, evaluate adaptation options, and recommend land use and infrastructure changes. The plan will align with existing state and county plans and sustainability initiatives. The office must submit the initial plan to the legislature by 2027 and update it every five years.
