Hawaii HB1158 amends Chapter 266 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to add a new section providing limited liability for individuals who provide firefighting services at commercial harbors. This protection extends to services rendered upon a reasonable command by a firefighter at any commercial harbor, roadstead, or vessel within a commercial harbor. The liability shield covers acts or omissions during firefighting, except for those resulting from gross negligence or wanton acts or omissions. This Act takes effect upon approval.
