Florida S7002 amends the exemption from public records requirements for certain information held by the Department of Military Affairs. Specifically, it exempts information stored in a U.S. Department of Defense system of records, transmitted using a U.S. Department of Defense network or communications device, or pertaining to the U.S. Department of Defense. This exemption applies to information held by the department before, on, or after the effective date of the exemption. The bill also deletes the scheduled repeal of this exemption. The act takes effect October 1, 2026.
