This bill amends Florida law to exempt certain information held by the Department of Military Affairs from public records requirements if it is stored in a U.S. Department of Defense system, transmitted using a U.S. Department of Defense network or communications device, or pertains to the U.S. Department of Defense. The exemption applies to information held by the department before, on, or after the effective date of the exemption. The bill takes effect October 1, 2026.
