Establishes the Florida Center for Nursing within the University of South Florida to address nursing shortages and workforce needs.

The bill establishes the Florida Center for Nursing within the University of South Florida to address nursing shortages and workforce needs. The center will develop a strategic statewide plan for nursing manpower, conduct a biennial gap analysis of the supply and demand of the health care workforce, and promote nursing excellence programs. The center will administer the Linking Industry to Nursing Education (LINE) Fund, which matches contributions from health care partners to support nursing education and related health science programs.
