This bill creates an exemption from public records and meetings requirements for records and information held by the Drug Overdose Death Review Committee or the Suicide Death Review Committee, or a local review committee, if they reveal the identity of a decedent from drug overdose or suicide, or the identity of a family member of such decedent. It also exempts portions of meetings discussing such information from public meetings requirements. The bill includes provisions for authorized disclosure for research purposes, with strict privacy and security agreements.
