The bill creates the Homes for Veterans Property Management Incentive Pilot Program in Broward, Escambia, Hillsborough, and Santa Rosa Counties. It establishes two trust funds: the Vacancy Relief Trust Fund and the Risk Mitigation Trust Fund. The Vacancy Relief Trust Fund compensates landlords for vacant units until a veteran moves in, up to 45 days. The Risk Mitigation Trust Fund covers property loss beyond the deposit amount, up to $2,000. Landlords must submit documentation to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to apply for these funds.
