The bill amends Florida Statutes to exempt specific physical therapy services from the requirement that a physical therapist have a practitioner of record review and sign a plan of treatment. These exemptions apply when a patient has been examined by a physician in another state and diagnosed for a condition requiring physical therapy, or when services are provided for health promotion, injury prevention, wellness, or fitness. The changes take effect July 1, 2026.
