The Foreign Interference Restriction and Enforcement Act restricts foreign influence in Florida by prohibiting certain entities from entering into agreements with foreign countries of concern. It mandates the termination of sister city and sister state affiliations with such countries by July 1, 2026. The act requires agents of foreign countries of concern to register with the Division of Elections and mandates periodic updates. It also prohibits governmental entities from entering into contracts with entities that would give access to personal identifying information.
