Florida S1054 amends state law to require individuals cited for certain traffic infractions resulting in a crash to appear at a mandatory hearing. If found guilty, the designated official must impose civil penalties and suspend the person's driver license. For a first infraction resulting in a crash, a $500 penalty and a 3-month suspension apply. A second infraction incurs a $1,000 penalty and a 6-month suspension. A third or subsequent infraction results in a $1,000 penalty and a 1-year suspension.
