Florida S0602, the Watercraft Energy Source Freedom Act, amends section 327.75 of Florida Statutes to prohibit state agencies, municipalities, governmental entities, and counties from restricting the use or sale of watercraft based on the energy source. This prohibition does not apply to watercraft used on lakes, reservoirs, drainage ponds, detention ponds, or retention ponds necessary for water protection. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
