This bill amends Florida law to allow parents of an unborn child to recover certain damages in the event of wrongful death. It defines "survivors" to include the parents of an unborn child and "unborn child" as a member of the species Homo sapiens at any stage of development. It prohibits wrongful death actions against the mother of the unborn child or against medical providers for lawful care provided in compliance with the standard of care. It also allows for recovery of damages for the loss of prospective net accumulations of an estate and loss of earnings of the deceased.
