Florida S0114 ensures continuity of care in health insurance contracts upon termination.
Florida S0114 mandates that health insurers and health care practitioners must allow policyholders to continue coverage and care until the completion of treatment for conditions they were receiving care for at the time of contract termination. This applies until the policyholder selects another treating provider or during the next open enrollment period, but not longer than six months. Policyholders who have initiated prenatal care must also continue to receive care and coverage until postpartum care completion.
