Prohibits health insurers and agencies from restricting access to out-of-network nurse registries and home health agencies.
The bill creates new sections in Florida Statutes to prohibit state group health insurance plans, state-contracted health maintenance organizations, the Agency for Health Care Administration, Medicaid managed care plans, and individual health insurers from restricting access to nonparticipating or out-of-network nurse registries and home health agencies. These entities are also prohibited from steering, requiring, or unduly influencing the selection of nurse registries or home health agencies.
