This bill repeals preemption of firearms and ammunition regulation in Florida, allowing local jurisdictions to regulate firearms and ammunition. It prohibits public and private employers from inquiring about or searching for firearms in parking lots, and from discriminating against employees or customers for lawful firearm possession. Employers cannot condition employment on concealed weapon authorization or prohibit firearm possession in locked vehicles. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
