Chamber Passed·2/19/26

Re-creates the Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund within the Executive Office of the Governor.

The bill re-creates the Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund within the Executive Office of the Governor. It specifies that moneys in the fund cannot be used to purchase aircraft, boats, or motor vehicles and cannot be invested as provided in s. 17.61. Instead, the fund's interest is appropriated to the General Revenue Fund. Federal reimbursements of state emergency expenditures are to be deposited in the General Revenue Fund. The fund is to be reviewed before its scheduled termination on July 1, 2030, and will be terminated unless otherwise provided.
