The bill converts the Plantation Acres Improvement District, an independent special district, into a dependent district of the City of Plantation. It repeals previous acts related to the district and makes its provisions city ordinances. The city council and mayor of Plantation will assume the offices of the district's board of supervisors. The district's assets, liabilities, and contracts remain in effect. A referendum for qualified electors of the district must approve the conversion, to be held by October 1, 2026.
