Requires local business tax receipt applicants to show an active OFAC license or authorization.
The bill amends Florida law to require individuals applying for or renewing a local business tax receipt to demonstrate an active license or authorization from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This applies to those conducting transactions subject to OFAC sanction programs. Online renewals can fulfill this requirement through electronic certification. The changes will take effect on October 1, 2026.
