The Taxpayer Dollars Protect Workers Act establishes employee protections in economic development contracts. Employers must not grant recognition rights based solely on signed authorization cards, disclose employee personal contact information without consent, waive their right to speak to employees, or require subcontractors to do the same. The Department of Commerce must enter into a separate agreement with the employer, reserving the right to recover funds if violations occur. The act applies to agreements executed or renewed on or after July 1, 2026.
