Establishes the Experimental Treatment Access Trust Fund to assist Florida residents with experimental treatment costs.
The bill creates the Experimental Treatment Access Trust Fund within the Department of Health to help eligible Florida residents with travel and partial care costs for experimental treatments. Licensed experimental treatment centers can contribute a portion of their net annual profits to the trust fund or provide equivalent care at no cost. The fund will terminate on July 1, 2030, unless otherwise decided. The fund's creation is contingent on the adoption of HB 1381 or similar legislation in the same legislative session.
