Allows Florida departments to access certain VA benefit payments for minor clients when they turn 18 or 23 if enrolled in school.

The bill amends Florida Statutes to allow the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Health, or the Agency for Persons with Disabilities to access benefit payments provided by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs for minor clients who attain 18 years of age or, if enrolled in school, 23 years of age. These payments can be used for postsecondary education services and support and aftercare services. The bill prohibits these departments from supplanting financial assistance provided under certain conditions. The changes take effect July 1, 2026.
