This bill creates a new section in Florida law allowing pharmacists to administer medications during life-threatening emergencies in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers. To qualify, pharmacists must either complete an accredited postgraduate residency training program or have at least three years of direct patient care in a hospital setting. Each hospital must keep records of these qualifications. The Board of Pharmacy will adopt rules to administer this section. The act will take effect July 1, 2026.
