Requires candidates for federal, state, county, or district office to disclose dual citizenship.
This bill amends Florida Statutes to require candidates for federal, state, county, or district office to disclose any dual citizenship. Specifically, candidates must provide a statement disclosing any other country they are a citizen of, in addition to being a U.S. citizen. This applies to candidates for nomination or election to federal, state, county, multicounty, district, or judicial office or to a district school board. The bill also updates the definition of "qualifying" to incorporate these amendments.
