Veteran Fraud Reimbursement Act of 2025

Introduced·3/6/25

Veteran Fraud Reimbursement Act of 2025 aims to enhance repayment of misused benefits by the VA.

The Veteran Fraud Reimbursement Act of 2025 amends title 38, United States Code, to improve the repayment process by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs of benefits misused by a fiduciary. It mandates that the Secretary pay the misused benefit amount to the beneficiary or their successor fiduciary. If the beneficiary predeceases before payment, the Secretary must pay the amount to an individual or entity. The bill prohibits payments to a fiduciary who misused benefits.
