The INSPIRES Act, or Inspiring New STEM Professionals by Investing in Renovation of Education Spaces Act, aims to enhance STEM education facilities in schools serving grades 6 through 12, particularly those in rural areas or serving Native American students. The bill authorizes the Secretary of Education to award grants to states, which in turn award subgrants to eligible agencies or Tribal educational agencies for projects that include building or remodeling STEM classrooms and laboratories, and providing high-speed internet.
