Federal SB5291, the Small Business Cybersecurity Assistance Evaluation Act of 2026, mandates the Comptroller General to study federal cybersecurity initiatives, programs, resources, tools, and services for small businesses. The study will cover common cyberattacks, federal cybersecurity initiatives, their awareness and use by small businesses, coordination among these initiatives, their effectiveness, and foundational cybersecurity concepts. The Comptroller General will submit a report to the Senate and House committees on small business. The act does not authorize additional funds.
