The Rural Residency Planning and Development Act of 2026 amends the Public Health Service Act to authorize grants for establishing new rural residency programs and providing technical assistance. Eligible entities include nonprofit or for-profit organizations, Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations, and others deemed appropriate by the Secretary. Grants may be fully funded at the time of award. The term of grants for technical assistance is four years, extendable at the Secretary's discretion. The act authorizes appropriations of $12,700,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031.
