The Display America's Art Act establishes a program for the Architect of the Capitol to loan art from eligible institutions to Members of Congress. Eligible institutions include those that own visual art collections and receive federal funding, such as the Smithsonian Institution. The art must be available and deemed appropriate for display in congressional offices. This allows Members of Congress to exhibit works currently in storage.
