AI Labeling Act of 2026 requires disclosures for AI-generated content.

The AI Labeling Act of 2026 mandates that providers of generative AI systems must embed machine-readable disclosures in AI-generated content. These disclosures must identify the content as AI-generated, specify the system and version used, and include the creation or modification date. The Act also prohibits the circumvention or falsification of these disclosures and allows for civil actions by the Attorney General, state attorneys general, and private parties.
