The Lifeline for First Responders Act establishes the EMS and First Responder Wellness Grant Program, administered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The program provides grants to federal, state, tribal, or local fire services, EMS agencies, and dispatch centers for evidence-based stress reduction, mental health services, suicide prevention, confidential counseling, family support, and outreach. Funding is authorized at $7,500,000 annually for fiscal years 2028 through 2032.
