The Free to Exit Administrative Tribunals Act (FEAT Act) provides a mechanism for parties to expedite resolution of certain administrative proceedings at the Department of the Interior. Specifically, it allows a party to a covered action to remove the case to a U.S. district court within 60 days of initiation. A covered action is defined as an agency proceeding adjudicated in the Departmental Cases Hearings Division or the Interior Board of Land Appeals. The removed action will be reviewed de novo in the district court.
