The Fairness in Fentanyl Sentencing Act of 2025 amends the Controlled Substances Act and Controlled Substances Import and Export Act to modify offenses related to fentanyl. It reduces the quantities of fentanyl analogues that trigger criminal penalties. The act also directs the United States Sentencing Commission to review and amend sentencing guidelines for fentanyl offenses. Additionally, it mandates the United States Postal Service to increase chemical screening devices and personnel to detect fentanyl and other narcotics. The act authorizes $9,000,000 for these efforts.
