The BLUE Act prohibits the sharing of certain information about Federal law enforcement officers.

The BLUE Act, or Blocking Leaks Undermining Enforcement Act, amends the Federal criminal code to prohibit the sharing of specific information about Federal law enforcement officers. This includes information intended to obstruct, impede, interfere with, or retaliate against lawful duties, investigations, operations, or official proceedings involving such officers. The Act also modifies definitions to include physical locations where Federal law enforcement officers are or are reasonably expected to be present.
