The TEACH Improvement Act of 2026 amends the Higher Education Act of 1965 to enhance the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grants program. It establishes categories of extenuating circumstances under which a recipient may be excused from fulfilling their service obligation. If a recipient's TEACH Grant is reinstated after being converted to a loan, the Secretary must extend the remaining service period to eight years.
