Social Determinants for Moms Act aims to eliminate maternal mortality and health disparities.

The Social Determinants for Moms Act mandates the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a task force to develop strategies and coordinate efforts to eliminate preventable maternal mortality, severe maternal morbidity, and maternal health disparities. The task force will address clinical and nonclinical causes of maternal mortality, including social determinants of health. The Secretary will award grants to eligible entities to address social determinants of maternal health.
