The Veteran Access to Neurosurgery Act of 2026 establishes a pilot program for neurosurgery services for veterans.

The Veteran Access to Neurosurgery Act of 2026 requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to implement a pilot program for neurosurgery services. This program allows qualified providers to negotiate market-based rate adjustments for neurosurgery services provided to veterans under the Veterans Community Care Program. The pilot program will run for five years in at least two Veterans Integrated Service Networks, focusing on areas with a high number of veterans in rural or highly rural locations.
