Reauthorizes the Cooperative Watershed Management Program for fiscal years 2027 through 2031.
The Cooperative Watershed Management Program Reauthorization Act of 2026 reauthorizes the Cooperative Watershed Management Program for fiscal years 2027 through 2031. The bill amends the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 to redefine the term "Indian tribe" and include watersheds with ancestral lands within the program. It also allows for the continuation of first-phase grants for up to two additional years if the recipient demonstrates satisfactory performance.
